CREWS SPEND DAY FIGHTING FIRE AT KAHUKU WIND FARM

Honolulu Fire Department crews responded to a fire Wednesday at the First Wind project in Kahuku. The latest call came just after 11:30 a.m. on Kamehameha Highway between Charlie Road and Marconi Road. Fire officials said it all started when an alarm went off at 4:45 a.m.  First Wind officials said smoke was coming from a battery energy storage facility
